This summer has been a wierd one. I had planned on it being more leisurely and fun, but it has been busy and stressful. I was on a very wonky schedule as well, went to bed at 6 A.M., woke up about 1 or 2 P.M. To be honest, I hated it, but couldn't get to sleep at night right away when I would come home late from work, so my sleep schedule just got all screwed up. Well, I decided I hated that, so I changed it.
Chris and I decided to stay up all Saturday night last weekend and stay awake until Sunday night. We are now on a 9ish P.M. to 6 A.M. Schedule and I love it. I love waking up early. It wasn't easy at first. I was so tired this week, but I knew if I stuck with it I would soon be wide awake come 6 A.M. I've noticed a change in my attitude as well. I feel happier, more positive, and I am more motivated.
Another thing that I did to make a change that I didn't like was to put myself on a cleansing diet. I had been feeling sick alot and kept getting heartburn and indigestion. So I researched until I found a cleansing diet that seemed sound, and only lasted for 3 days. I ended it last night and I can honestly say that I felt it work. I immediately felt my heartburn leave, after only 1 day I could feel my digestive system working again, I no longer had a lump in my stomach. Here is the diet if you want to take a look: http://www.guideforbetterhealth.com/bodydetox/detoxdiets/3-day-detox-diet-plan.html.
The last two things that I did to make a change was to recommit to taking care of my body and my mind. The first thing is that I have been belly dancing every morning as soon as I wake up, followed by meditation. The second thing is writing in my journal every night before I go to sleep. It is helping me sleep better at night. My dreams are getting better too. They are no longer stressful dreams, they are just good dreams.
"I'm gonna make a change, for once in my life. It's gonna feel real good, gonna make a difference, gonna make it right...I'm starting with the man in the mirror, I'm asking if he'll make a change...If you want to make the world a better place take a look at yourself and make a change."
